There will be two categories for the freestyle battles. Recorded (for those with the proper equipment, such as a mic) and written (for those without mics). You will not be able to compete against a recording freestyle battle artist if you are a writing freestyle battle artist and vise versa.
For tournaments there will be 3 rounds per match ( _______ v.s. _______ x3), and 13 matches per 'tournament tree'. this allows 16 people to enter each tournament. to enter the tournament, you must be among the first 16 to apply for a specific tournament and convince us that you are ready. If you are not concerned with which tournament you enter, jsut apply and we'll place you in any empty space. You apply by emailing madlabs, or Pm'ing any admin. In your application, inlcude what category you will be in (recording or writing).
The people will decide who wins each match. Depending on who wins the best '2-out-of-3' rounds in the match, wins the match. Whoever survives through all the matches wins the tournament.
Upon TOURNAMENT victory, a Tag will be designed for you, and it will be customized with your screen name (and anyting else you want) in the photo. You can do whatever you want with the photo, but it is strongly suggested that you place it in your signature. This will be the Mad Labs 'freestyle trophy'.
Singles matches are matches that you request against anyone in Mad labs. You will not be given a "trophy" for these victories, but you will get recognition. There will be 5 rounds and the people of mad labs will decide who wins. best 3 out of 5 will win.
upon ties, there will be a tie breaker round. This decides it all so give it all you've got.
If you are caught copying others' songs and freestlyes (like copying a famous rappers song and posing as if its something you made up) you will be banned from posting in the freestlye board for a month. If you are caught a second time, you will be banned for 3 months. If you are caught a thrid (and final time) you will never be able to post in the freestyle board again.
